There is a washbasin in the room too: in a farmhouse with no running water this is where you washed, with a basin and a jug, and the restoration left it where it was. Heat and cool air come from the same clean source that powers the whole house — the geothermal field — and keep the rooms cool in summer and mild in winter, without a sound.

The farmhouse

Four areas, one fifteenth-century farmhouse

Ca' Virginia is a fifteenth-century farmhouse: the conservative restoration begun in 2004 by the Rossi family left the rooms the original materials of the farm — exposed brick and stone, chestnut and oak beams, terracotta floors.

La Vecchia Casa is the oldest wing: singles and doubles under the beams, the attic with its terracotta tiles, the irregular walls, next to the common areas with the fireplace. Gli Alloggi Padronali hold the two suites, Cannella and Granaio.

Il Fienile, the barn, gathers nine doubles among oak floors, beams and exposed trusses. La Tabaccaia, carved out of the old tobacco drying house, holds the three self-contained apartments.
